WHAT IS A SHADOWCAST?
A shadowcast is when the actors lip-sync to a movie playing behind the stage. The actors do not actually sing or speak, they mime the movie playing alongside them. Therefore, in your audition you will lip-sync your sides without speaking.
WHAT TO PREPARE FOR YOUR AUDITION
For your audition, you must complete each of the following:
Information form
“Shadow” one scene from the provided list
Perform the dance to “I Saw the Sign”
REQUIREMENTS
All actors must:
Be a woman or non-binary
Be 18+
Be available for all rehearsals and shows.
*No experience is required to be in the show!*
IMPORTANT DATES
Rehearsals: JUNE 4, 7, 11, 16, 18 (All evening but one morning!)
June 4: 8:30- 11:30pm
June 7: 10:00 - 3:00 pm
June 11: 8:30- 11:30pm
June 16: 6:00 - 11:00 pm
June 18: 6:00 - 11:00 pm
Show Dates: JUNE 19 (7:00), 20 (7:00), 21(1:00, 7:00)
